Marcus Chapman Collins
Marcus was the 8th (and last) child of Pa Lou and Granny Donie
He was born May 16, 1921.
I regret I do not have a very early picture of him..
Perhaps Bev, Jimmy or Janet can provide one...
He was married to Martha Lucille Williams May 24, 1940.
Marcus served during World War II. He fought during the Battle of the Bulge (one of the last major German offenses). He was wounded and received a Purple Heart. He had a piece of scrapnel in his arm until the 60s or 70s. He worked for many years at the Radford Arsenal.
Lucille passed away January 5, 1998. Marcus joined her in January 2000. They are both buried in Birchlawn Cemetary in Pearisburg
